Conversation starts @ 3:05 – David and I talk about the arguments of individualism vs. collectivism in relation to Ayn Rand's philosophies. We also discuss martial arts, self-discipline and accepting responsibility in conjunction with building self-confidence and giving an earnest attempt to rise out of the 'victim culture' & self-loathing that has been exponentially growing in the Western world. As with any controversial topics please apply common sense: we aren't saying that there aren't real victims in life or that people should only receive "tough love" to get through problems; the point is that working through them on your own (along with support from positive influences) is far more effective in building self-confidence and a better future in contrast to the nanny state of government handouts. As usual, it's always a balance of mercy & severity in dealing with your own problems and others. While Ayn Rand might learn more toward the line of severity, we both believe her work is well worth reading; despite any flaws or perceived coldness towards those who are in unfortunate situations. There is a lot of content in her work that is inspiring, practical, and common sense––you may not agree and that is fine––but at least disagree with what she actually wrote, not what is said about her in assumption and misunderstanding. Conversation starts @ 3:05 – Kam and I discuss her understandings of Eastern religion and how it relates to Madame Blavatsky's viewpoints on it's role in Theosophy.  We discuss some of the similarities amongst particular religious views.  Kam espouses the 'syncronicity' aspect of religions.  While I do agree that religions like Hinduism and Christianity have similarities, I also contend that there are distinct differences that are difficult to reconcile with the ideas of syncretists who maintain "all religions are basically the same."  Despite our difference of opinion on this matter we were able to have a fun, light-hearted and productive conversation.  Enjoy.

Conversation starts @ 3:05 – James and I discuss the lesser known history of the American Revolution.  Were the Founding Fathers grand infallible heroes who were fighting tyranny and oppression in a crusade of righteousness for liberty and equality?  Or was the propaganda machine rolled out once again to incite rebellion because a group of wealthy Enlightenment oligarchs decided that they preferred to 'run the show'?  We get into some of the commonly accepted ideas of America being a 'Christian' nation despite being built upon Freemasonic principles which were in rebellion against the 'Old World' Catholic-Christianity in order to form a 'New World' under the equilibrated Deity of the Mysteries.  Regardless of where you're religious affinities lie, you may––at the least––see the Founding Fathers in a very different light, and perhaps men like King George III as well in contrast to the established narrative we've all been hearing from the cradle to the grave growing up here in the good ol' U.S of A.
